HomeMind Privacy Policy

HomeMind helps homeowners organize important information about their home, including home assets, maintenance records, receipts, photos, reminders, warranties, and related documents. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and the choices you have.

By using HomeMind, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect account information such as your name, email address, login credentials, and account preferences. You may choose to add home and property information, including rooms, appliances, systems, maintenance items, warranties, inspection details, receipts, service records, photos, documents, notes, and reminder dates.

If you upload photos, receipts, inspection reports, manuals, warranties, or other documents, we store and process those files so they can be displayed and organized in the app.

With your permission, HomeMind may access your device camera or photo library so you can capture or upload images. We do not access your camera or photo library unless you grant permission through your device settings.

If you use reminder features, we may collect dates, labels, and related notes. If calendar syncing is offered and enabled, HomeMind may request permission to add maintenance reminders or related events to your calendar. We do not access your calendar unless you authorize it.

If you purchase a paid subscription or other in-app purchase, the transaction is processed through Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Stripe, or another payment provider. We may receive limited subscription status information, such as whether your account is active, expired, or eligible for premium features. We do not receive or store your full credit card number.

We may also collect device and usage information such as device type, operating system, app version, crash logs, diagnostics, feature usage, and general interaction data to improve performance, fix bugs, and understand how the app is used.

2. How We Use Information

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information with vendors that help us operate the app, such as hosting providers, database providers, authentication providers, analytics tools, crash reporting tools, payment/subscription processors, email providers, and customer support tools.

We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, legal process, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or security of users, HomeMind, or others.

If HomeMind is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, sale of assets, or similar transaction, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

We may share information when you choose to export, transfer, invite another user, share a home record, or otherwise direct us to share information.

4. AI and Document Processing

HomeMind may use automated tools, including artificial intelligence features, to help organize, summarize, extract, classify, or suggest information from uploaded documents, photos, receipts, manuals, or inspection reports.

We use these features only to provide or improve the functionality of the app. We do not use your private home records to build public profiles about you.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the app. We may also retain information as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain backups, and protect the security of the service.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. However, no app, website, database, or internet transmission is completely secure.

7. Your Choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, object to, or restrict certain processing of your information. You can also withdraw device permissions through your settings.

8. Notifications and Permissions

HomeMind may ask for permission to send push notifications, access your camera, access your photo library, or add calendar reminders. You can manage these permissions through your device settings.

9. Children’s Privacy

HomeMind is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. International Users

If you use HomeMind outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.

11. Third-Party Services

HomeMind may include integrations with third-party services, such as app stores, payment processors, analytics providers, cloud storage providers, authentication providers, or calendar services. Your use of those services may also be subject to their own privacy policies.

12. Account Transfer Feature

If HomeMind offers a home-transfer feature, you may choose to transfer certain home records to another user, such as a new homeowner. You are responsible for reviewing the information before transfer and removing anything you do not want shared.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify you through the app, by email, or by other reasonable means.
